Panorama began broadcasting on 11th November 1953 as a fortnightly show. Described by the Radio Times of the day as a “reflection of the contemporary scene” it included reviews of the contemporary arts as well as featuring documentary pieces. The second season of Panorama began on the 20th of October. Similar to the first year, it was described as “a fortnightly topical magazine” by the Radio Times of the day. Again introduced by Max Robertson the series ran from the end of 1954 until the middle of 1955, ending on the 10th of August.
