Freddie

Freddie Mercury was known for his flamboyant stage persona and four-octave vocal range - the lead singer of Queen defied the conventions of a typical rock frontman. He paved the way for many contemporary artists to have a more confident and theatrical act which indelibly shaped the next generation of pop and rock music. From working as a baggage handler at Heathrow airport to hiding his HIV diagnosis from the public until just before his death, Mercury's life was filled with adventure, publicity, and perhaps above all, a clear duality. He was both flamboyant and shy, outspoken and intensely private. The illness that claimed his life could never have defined Freddie, and now, years later, his legacy is greater than he could have ever imagined.

M. Harry Smilac is a down-on-his-luck music manager who is having a hard time attracting talent and booking gigs for his band, Kicks (The most recent of the gigs is a Dairy Queen opening!!). When making arrangements for a campaign fund-raiser, he mistakes Rick Roberts, a professional wrestler, for a musician and hires him. At that moment he becomes a wrestling manager and starts to book matches for him and his teammate Tonga Tom. The team is a success, and Harry decides to take his wrestlers and his band on a "Rock n' Wrestling" tour. The tour is a success, and Harry feels what it is like to be a winner again.

Janapada

Janapada tells the story of folk singer Chandranna, who feels that singing and entertaining people is better than any recognition from the government. His singing attracts many people including a city-bred girl who decides to stay in the village to be close to him. Meanwhile, Chandranna receives an award from the government, which makes him a target of envy. The village head, priest and a rival singer plot to defame the singer by spreading rumours about him. They even impose a ban on the singer to keep him away from the public.

Not the Messiah (He's a Very Naughty Boy)

Not The Messiah (He's a Very Naughty Boy) is a comic oratorio based on Monty Python's Life of Brian, which retells the tragic tale of Mandy, impregnated by a Roman soldier, giving birth to Brian, a reluctant revolutionary of the People's Front of Judea who falls in love with Judith, gets mistaken for a Messiah and is arrested by the Romans and sentenced to be crucified. It ranges in reference from Handel, through a naughty Mozart duet, to the Festival of Nine Carols, Bob Dylan, and the classic finale "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life".

Suspicious Affluence

Shalom, a lottery salesman, and Abdo, a butcher's boy, are friends and live together in the same house. One day, the owner of the butcher shop dies, leaving his boy Abdo the shop and all his money. Abdo divides the inheritance between himself and his friend Shalom. This helps each of them marry his fiancée and start their own businesses.
