The idea was to deceive the soldiers by making them feel safe, then hand them over, almost with their hands tied, to the Cristero guerrillas. But then one of the women, the daughter, truly falls in love with one of the soldiers, allows herself to be seduced by him, and then tries to save him, only to be killed, in the circumstances, by the soldier himself.

In May 1945, Japan's defeat was imminent after the attacks on Saipan, Iwo Jima, and the Philippines, and Tokyo was reduced to a sea of fire by another massive air raid. However, within the Ministry of the Army, there were still officers who were enthusiastic about a decisive battle on the mainland. Eventually, the Okinawa garrison was annihilated, and the US military was approaching the mainland, but on July 27th, the Potsdam Conference between the US, Britain, and the Soviet Union broadcast the Triple Joint Declaration, which set out the final terms of surrender for Japan.

Teacher Huang San extends to his pupils the high principles of patriotism, thus arousing the hatred of the occupying Japanese. Huang is forced to flee and to escape from the Japanese clutches. One night, he helps a robber escape from a pursuing Japanese officer by firing his gun and thus unintentionally kills the Japanese. Huang San follows to his hideout and from then on, Huang San joins the bandits. Huang San attempts to rob a house but discovers that the occupant is none other than his student Wang Zhongkang who is involved with the guerrillas. Huang San decides to help Zhongkang raid the military arsenal of the enemy. However, as Huang gradually gains the trust of their chief, some jealous associates within the bandit group informs on him. Huang and Zhongkang carry out their raid amid a fierce confrontation, Zhongkang successfully implements his mission but Huang is killed in the battle.

From his post he helps Greek patriots and saves the lives of prisoners, such as Lieutenant Avgeris, whose plane was shot down in Greek airspace. Avgeris is in love with Maria, who tries to help him flee to the Middle East, but they are captured by the Germans. Avgeris, in order not to be harmed, agrees to cooperate with them.
