Nata Desta Vida arises from the hunger to learn to work in the universe of stop motion with the (hunger) to represent something as traditional and Portuguese as the typical Pastel de Nata. We present to the public a short film that demonstrates all the steps of the recipe, metaphorizing the ingredients in traditional Portuguese elements. Tasty examples such as a cinnamon stick, which is represented by a Portuguese guitar, or a fine zest of lemon, which is assumed to be a filigree Heart of Viana.

The film brings a poem to life which winds between dreams and nightmares, childhood memories, diary notes, and their adult interpretation; reflecting the issues raised by the search for the meaning of existence and the feeling of frequent hopelessness.

To help visualize the dramatic final chapter in Cassini's remarkable story, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory produced this short film that features beautiful computer-generated animation, thoughtful narration and a rousing score. Producers at JPL worked with filmmaker Erik Wernquist, known for his 2014 short film "Wanderers," to create a stirring finale video befitting one of NASA's most successful missions of exploration.
