Twelve-year-old Abdullah loves photography, so when his father gives him a new camera to reward him for getting good grades at school, he is thrilled. But while he is out and about taking shots, he inadvertently takes a picture of a crime in progress, and soon, the bandits are after him, intent on destroying the evidence. Dramatic with some clever comic relief, ‘A Picture’ is a great play on the old adage that crime doesn’t pay.
The film is about the class struggle in the village between the various strata of society on the eve of Soviet powerformation.
