Broncho Billy and the Maid

Jim Clay, a rough western ranchman, kisses his daughter goodbye, and departs for the town saloon. Entering, he sees four of his comrades finishing a game of cards. Broncho Billy, one of them, wins all the money. Clay exits and seats himself on a barrel in front of the place. Broncho, with his winnings, departs from the saloon, meets Clay and together they proceed to the ranchman's home.

The Girl and the Mail Bag

Jessie Baird, the postmaster's daughter, handles the registered mail. Hankey, a gambler, seeing the men sending money away from the mining town, decides to rob the stagecoach of the mail bag. He orders Pete, a pal, to board the stage and throw the mail bag off at Deer Creek.

Free again, the wily crook commits a series of crimes, including the theft of a football during a championship Army vs. Navy playoff. Mighty Mouse returns to clobber his arch-foe, sending him flying back to Alcatraz. Mighty Mouse even returns the football to the game! There's a great gag at the end involving Frankenstein's Monster, Count Dracula and lawyers!

Matters glide along smoothly until about the time Broncho is thinking of putting the ring on Nan's finger.
