In a quiet village, a puppeteer works peacefully on a new project. This gains unexpected momentum when he decides to take in refugees from eastern Ukraine. Łukasz's bold project allows the family to distract themselves from the difficult reality. He gains companions who want to support him in his unconventional work.

Camocim

Every four years, the calm and peacefull Camocim de São Félix, a small town in Pernambuco (Brazil), is shaken, revealing an outpouring of joy, anger, hope and disappointment. During the municipal political campaign, the city splits into two, and everything seems to orbit around politics. In the middle of this political market, Mayara, 23, tries to make a "clean" campaign to elect his candidate and friend Cesar.

Via interviews with cultural luminaries like Artemy Troitsky, Igor Shulinsky, the recently incarcerated rapper, Husky, and 4 current day portraits of youth in Russia and Ukraine, a variety of refracted angles come into focus through fake nikes, clubs, drugs, instagram live, and the ghost-like echo of Swan Lake.

Beyond Wriezen

The film follows three young offenders from the day they are released from Wriezen prison, in eastern Germany, for a period of three years. Their new life begins at the train station where they all set out hoping for the same things: a job, somewhere to live, a girlfriend, security, respect and love. Will they make it?

Chronicles of Hope

In july 1936, the civil war began in Spain, and it would last three years. Since then, it has constantly been a subject for fascination and controversy. What could have pushed leftists from all over the world to fight for a cause that their governments rejected? Why did young men leave their work, their family and their country, so they could join a fight that was somehow a rehearsal for World War II? Nearly 40.000 people enlisted to defend their ideals on a foreign territory. Chronicles Of Hope doesn't intend to describe the events of the civil war in a one-tracked political mould; the human dimension is here the center of interest.
