Gottfried and Sophie Kummer live freely and independently with their six boys in a modest cottage in the countryside. Although the cottage has neither electricity nor running water and must be heated with wood, the small wages of a construction worker are not enough to meet all their obligations. Especially since the former owner, Mayor Lüthi, still has a mortgage on the cottage, on which the Kummer family must pay interest. And this interest makes life difficult for the Kummer family. Then a stranger appears who would like to buy the cottage as a vacation home. But for the Kummers, it is their home! Mayor Lüthi, however, senses a big deal, promises the stranger the house, and at the same time gives the Kummer family a final payment deadline for the interest until the end of the month. So it is the six Kummer boys who take up the fight to save their cottage.

Tricky Business was a British children's sitcom which ran for three series from 1989 to 1991. The Jellabies are jelly made people that live in the Jolly Jelly World, which is the magical land at the end of the rainbow, where their main job is to make rainbows. Although each Jellabie has its own vehicle to drive around in, their main use of travelling long distances around Jolly Jelly World is on the "Jelly train", a train that only consists of a cab and one passenger car. The shows featured the everyday adventures of a group of characters living on Pigeon Street, an area of flats and terraced housing in a British city, also home to several pigeons which appeared in each show but only occasionally featured in the plot. There is a little girl in a cargo train driving through the night: The orphan Momo, who is looking for a new home. As a conductor become suspicious and stops the train, Momo has to jump off.
