CBC News: Compass is a 90-minute local television news program based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada broadcast from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM each weeknight AT on CBCT-DT, the CBC owned and operated television station on PEI. It is the only PEI-specific newscast in the province, and has long been well ahead of CTV Atlantic's newscasts in the ratings. The newscast launched as a single 60-minute newscast, Compass, in 1986, with Roger Younker as its anchor from its inception until 2002. Younker became well-known and trusted within Prince Edward Island. The humorous and popular weatherman, Kevin "Boomer" Gallant, has also been with the program since 1986, and still remains. In about 1995, reporter Sara Fraser was brought on as co-anchor with Younker. But in 2000, as a result of budget-cuts, all local supper-hour CBC newscasts were replaced with CBC News: Canada Now, a hybrid national and local newscasts. Younker continued as sole anchor of the PEI-specific half from Charlottetown, with a national program following at 6:30PM local time, presented by Ian Hanomansing from the network's Vancouver studios. In 2002, with Younker's departure, former co-host and long-time correspondent Sara Fraser temporarily succeeded him for one year. In 2003, newcomer Bruce Rainnie was brought in as a permanent replacement for Younker/Fraser as the anchor, and brought his own unique style to the program. Sara Fraser continues as a frequent substitute anchor and correspondent. In May 2006, the local half of the newscast was renamed CBC News at Six: Prince Edward Island.
Prairie Fire was a United States television news magazine focusing on Central Illinois. It was produced by WILL-TV, a public broadcasting station owned by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. One of the longest-running local TV programs in central Illinois, it last aired in 2010.

TSW Today was the news programme on Television South West, the ITV licensee for South West England. The programme began as Today South West in 1982, then in the mid-1980s was renamed Today and subsequently, in 1989, became TSW Today. When Television South West lost its licence to broadcast on Channel 3 and Westcountry Television took over the South West franchise, TSW Today was replaced by Westcountry Live.

The News was a broadcast designed mainly for primetime viewers who might have missed that night's NBC Nightly News. The News was originally shown at 9pm ET on MSNBC until July 6, 2001. It was moved to the 8pm time slot on July 9, 2001. During the United States presidential election, 2000, The News was the main program for MSNBC's coverage. John Seigenthaler often substituted for Williams during his absence, mainly because of Williams' duties as substitute on NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw.
Testigo is a regional news program aired over GMA-5 Davao. The newscast airs every weekdays before 24 Oras. And also simulcasts on DXGM-AM. Its main newscaster is Tek Ocampo. Tek started with Testigo in 1999 and made a name as a national reporter for GMA News when he left the show in 2002. Good Morning Canada was a national weekend breakfast television show aired on the CTV Television Network in Canada from circa fall 2001 to early 2009. The program was pre-taped during the week, and aired twice each weekend, Saturday morning at 8 and Sunday morning at 7, with news inserts provided by CTV Newsnet. The show's content consists mainly of feature segments originally produced for local CTV newscasts. The show was always produced at one of the network's stations other than flagship CFTO Toronto, moving every three to six months. There was a single host at any one time, generally a personality from the then-current producing station. Unlike the weekend editions of American network morning shows, the program was separate from CTV's weekday morning program Canada AM. In the early 1990s, the network carried a one-hour weekend program, Canada AM Weekend, re-airing the show's best segments of the week. Good Morning Canada launched several years after Canada AM Weekend was cancelled and has no connection to the earlier program. Due to low ratings and network cutbacks, the show was discontinued. The last episode aired on February 1, 2009.
BBC Weekend News is the BBC's national news programmes on BBC One at the weekend and bank holidays, although it is often referred to on guides simply as BBC News. It is called BBC Weekend News on all bulletins apart from being broadcast on Weekend at the 10:00pm hour, where it is named the BBC News at Ten.

TA NEA TOY ANT1 is a famous news television programme in Greece aired by ANT1 since 1992 and is currently hosted by Giannis Papadopoulos as well as the rest of the ANT1 News Team. It has previously been hosted by Terrence Quick, Dimitris Stamou, Elli Stai and more recently Nikos Evagelatos. TA NEA TOY ANT1 broadcasts its main evening news show at 20:00 and this runs for one hour. During 2000 through to 2001, the show started at 19:30 and ran for one and a half hour. Before 1997, it was broadcast for 30 minutes. The main evening news on ANT1 has been number one in the Greek television ratings several times. The program is in direct competition for viewers with other private television stations such as Mega Channel and Alter who also broadcast their main evening news shows at 20:00. Alpha TV moved their main evening news from 20:00 to 19:00 in 2009 so no longer compete to be number one in this time slot. TA NEA TOY ANT1 also broadcasts an afternoon edition of the program which airs at 13:00 and runs for approximately 25 minutes. There is a second shorter edition at 18:00 which lasts for approximately 10 minutes and also features the news in sign language. The midnight edition of the news lasts for approximately 10 minutes.
