Teletrece is a Chilean news program on Canal 13 that, since 1970, has had the title of being the longest running news program in Chilean television, replacing TVN's 60 Minutos and subsequent programs TV Noticias, Noticias and 24 Horas. Teletrece born in March 1970, succeeding the news The Esso reporter and instantly Martini. Its consolidation as television news is produced during the government of Salvador Allende, time of great social upheaval and polarization in the country.1 Since its initial duration of 30 minutes each night, Teletrece begins to extend to reach during 1973, an hour and a half in length, with three daily editions of 30 minutes, one at 14:00, under the name of Teletarde, another to 19:00, Telenoche under the name and the last at 23:00, under the name Telecierre, plus 5 min capsules for several moments of scheduling, because of the large amount of information which were produced following above background. The audience leaned Teletrece at the expense of National News, National Television of Chile, Allende charged pro-trend, 2 and Nuevediario TeleU and the Channel, 6 and 9 of the Television Corporation of the University of Chile, which the last of these was taken by workers gobiernistas.3 In the mentioned period, gain notoriety as reporters who had the facts to the audience, journalists Julio Lopez Blanco and Claudio Sanchez.

ITN World News

ITN World News was a newscast shown during the late 1980s and most of the 1990s. It was either shown on cable or satellite television, or shown internationally. The newscast was broadcast from London, England, and was produced by Independent Television News. A domestic version was also shown in the United Kingdom on terrestrial television. ITN World News began broadcasting on Super Channel, and aired on NBC Europe, Nine Network Australia, Public Broadcasting Service Public television stations and most of the ITV Network Regions. The broadcast began in 1987, and has not been seen on screens since 1999. The newscast was produced by ITN and broadcast from its London Bureau.

Northern Exposure

Northern Exposure was a supplementary video blog for the Northern Scotland edition of the regional news programme, STV News at Six. The first blog was produced on Tuesday June 19, 2007 and as of June 30, 2009, 180 episodes had been made available The blog was presented and produced by Norman Macleod, Andrea Brymer, Kirstin Gove, Chris Harvey and Louise Steel from STV North's studios in West Tullos, Aberdeen on a regular basis.

Around Indonesia

Seputar Indonesia, is the Indonesia's longest running newscast carried by a private television station. It appeared on RCTI on 15 November 1989 as Seputar Jakarta before it evolved to go nationwide on 15 November 1990. Since the end of 2005, the program has regained its position as the most-watched newscast in the country, according to ratings by Nielsen Media Research. During its early years, Seputar Indonesia was also carried by RCTI's then sister station SCTV. On 9 February 2009, Seputar Indonesia was revived and is the only news program on RCTI, now called Satu Seputar Indonesia. The morning news program, Nuansa Pagi was renamed Seputar Indonesia Pagi. The afternoon news program, Buletin Siang renamed Seputar Indonesia Siang. The late night news program, Buletin Malam was renamed Seputar Indonesia Malam. The main evening edition retained the Seputar Indonesia name due to the historical context. Seputar Indonesia also relayed on TVTL in East Timor, Astro Prima in Malaysia, BBC WSTV in Hong Kong and TCS-5 in Singapore. Historically, it was also broadcast by SCTV and Indosiar before their produced their own news programs, Liputan 6 Petang and Fokus Sore respectively.

BBC Points West

BBC Points West is the BBC's regional news programme for the West of England, covering Bristol, the majority of Wiltshire, northern and eastern Somerset and southern Gloucestershire. Produced by BBC West, the programme is produced from the BBC Broadcasting Centre at Whiteladies Road, Bristol with reporters also based at newsrooms in Bath, Gloucester, Swindon and Taunton. The main presenters are Alex Lovell, David Garmston and Amanda Parr.

Asia Market Wrap

Asia Market Wrap is a business news programme aired on CNBC Asia between 1600-1800 Hong Kong/Singapore/Taiwan time, until December 2005. The show also aired on CNBC US on 5:30 to 6AM ET until 2000, then it was moved to CNBC World. Anchored by Christine Tan, Asia Market Wrap examined the day's headlines and numbers, with in-depth analysis of the day's financial news, interviewing key money managers, market experts and corporate chiefs. The programme, comes from its original edition on CNBC US, Market Wrap, included several segments, such as Australia Market Wrap, China Business Briefing and Eye on India. Asia Market Week - a weekly wrap-up of the market action in Asia - aired between 17:30-18:00 on Fridays. Prior to Martin Soong's original departure from CNBC Asia, he was the programme's regular presenter (the programme was billed as Asia Market Wrap with Martin Soong). When he returned to present Asia Squawk Box, Tan was moved to present Asia Market Wrap instead. The programme was not aired on CNBC Asia's CNBC Australia, local opt-out - it was replaced by CNBC Europe's Morning Exchange (1600 - 1700 HK/SG Time) and CNBC's Wake Up Call (1700 - 1800 HK/SG/TWN Time). The programme ended on 2 December 2005 and was replaced by Worldwide Exchange on 19 December 2005. Tan continues as the Asian presenter of this programme, joined by CNBC's Michelle Caruso-Cabrera (used for 2005-07-10-19 to due General assignment), now anchored by Brian Shactman (2007-10-22-present) and CNBC Europe's Ross Westgate.

News Bites

News Bites is a now defunct minute news break of Studio 23 developed by ABS-CBN Corporation via ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs featuring local and international news. A rundown of the things from technology, sports and entertainment is covered by the show. "Newsbite or news-bite" is a new concept and as J. Knox says in his article, it is referred to the evolution of verbal news genres in online newspapers. A home page is the entry point of an online newspaper, into a home page we can find different elements; one of these, specifically one of the central visual-verbal element is a newsbite. As it is said before, the newsbite, is considered a relatively new news genre, particularly talking about news stories. The newsbite is the result of the evolution of technological and social developments in the online newspapers field. In that sense, newsbites can be considered as a pinch of information written in a particular way. The newsbite concept is different from newsbrief, because the first one functions as an independent text. Its functionality is highlight important stories of the online newspaper, and as the author says: "Their social purpose is to present the focal point of a news story with immediacy and impact".
