Haunted House

I find myself in the middle of a Portuguese forest. A set of abandoned objects related to the attraction's fairs make me think of a schoolmate who wanted to be a ballet dancer. Bumper Cars and a rabbit I found in the forest sparked memories of the visits I made to the Fairs. Then I became a memories collector in contact with these objects. David, Empar, Manuel and Zé join me in this film.

Many of them would die in those mountains. This film is centered on filming the places in the present where the major figures of the Asturian Guerrilla Group were killed.

Rogério Duarte is one of the most important names in Tropicália, a Brazilian cultural movement of the 1960s. The plastic artist was one of the first to publicly denounce the tortures committed in the military regime. During the dictatorship, its political action and its cultural achievements mobilized many artists and inspired a whole generation.

Bakken

In three long, uninterrupted one-takes shot over a single summer’s day and night, the camera moves slowly through the park while the guests alternately react to the lens or try to ignore it. A gang of Pierrot clones mingle with the visitors. The film is an joint creation between students of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and the Danish Film School, initiated independently by the students. Using Bakken as a frame - historically, architecturally and socially - all the contributors helped develop the concept for both the film and the performative interventions in front of the camera, which are sometimes inseparable from the hedonistic and condensed semi-fictional universe that an amusement park is.

The Last Chieftain

The film explores the leadership system in lives of chiefs such as Rangalu who was sworn in as the Head of Santiman District, Taiwan, which consists of 10 villages with the population of 70,000, most of whom are indigenous Paiwan. The Paiwan people live in the mountain area of southern Taiwan. Their rich oral traditions and cultural traits are revealed in this unique film. The two director, Daw-ming Lee and Sakuliu Pavaavalung, exchange their views on political and economic issues.
