Panorama is the first chapter of a trilogy about the city. A review of a polis extended over an infinite space without uninhabited places or borders to take refuge. A landscape without readmission for the excluded, like imaginary worlds in search of balance.

Black Strings

The Black String Triage Ensemble, an all-African American string orchestra in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, performs on the scene in the immediate aftermath of incidents of gun violence, altering the notion of “first responders.” In a city with such a troubled relationship with violence, can this ensemble transform the traumatized public space into a place of recovery, healing and hope.

O Giorgos apo ta Sotirianika

The story of a successful Greek immigrant, the restaurant owner Giorgos Kozompolis, who emigrated in the mid 1960’s from the poor village of Sotirianika, in Mani to the developed city of Heidelberg in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The story of a man from the jungles of Ghana. Decades later he studies in St. Gallen and fights for the fulfilment of his dream: to build a railway in Ghana. In the film other Ghanaians reflect on questions such as: what does making progress really mean from an African perspective?

Combines animation and documentary footage to illustrate the origins and impact of the musical genres Bomba and Plena in Puerto Rican culture.

Here on earth

Narrates the (ups and downs) difficulties of Nahuas immigrants from *Huasteca in Hidalgo State, now loving in Guadalajara. An adolescent just finishing *Junior High School abandons her studies to work in Guadalajara; an experienced immigrant who has attained a fortune and now decides to migrate in to USA; a young woman who leaves her children with her mother in order to work in the city.

Pamestas mājas

Ukrainian refugees who've found shelter in Latvia talk about what home means to them. The audio of the interviews is combined with shots of an abandoned Latvian country house, creating a meta-image of home.

Imagine Peace

Four years in the making, the film features interviews and footage never seen before, as well as older scenes of John and Yoko together, in private and performing in public. Yoko Ono talks about her and John Lennon’s love and life together, about the art they made together and their struggle for peace and justice, including the imaginative methods they used to get their message across: “Give peace a chance.” Lennon’s music provides an inspirational soundtrack to a story that that began more than forty years ago and is still unfolding. In 2007, when Yoko Ono dedicated the Imagine Peace Tower to John’s memory she added: “My love for you is forever.”
